Bar Gigi invites you to an exclusive evening in Cantine dell’Angelo, our cellar and cave system beneath the restaurant in the heart of Nottingham, for an olive oil tasting menu using our very own extra virgin olive oil.
Our journey
This immersive event offers a rare opportunity to explore the story behind our artisanal extra virgin olive oil, produced exclusively from our own olive groves in Manoppello, Italy. Set in the dramatic landscape of the Apennines, between the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains, our land yields olives of exceptional quality, grown in mineral rich volcanic soil and hand harvested using traditional methods. The result is a vibrant, organic oil with a distinct peppery finish and grassy complexity.
The evening
Guests will be guided through the full journey of our extra virgin olive oil from grove to press, before enjoying a thoughtfully curated four course tasting menu, designed and presented by our head chef, Connor Robson. Each course has been created to highlight the depth, character, and versatility of our oil, celebrating the connection between land and plate.
